Hi

We currently have GoldMine 4 installed on a server. All users connect
via a shortcut. GoldMine is still working fine on the server but when
network useres try to access it they get the following message:
GoldMine cannot dynamically load functions from IDAPI32.DLL. Please
reinstall the Borland Database engine (BDE). BDE Error: 15878.

I also get an error message when trying to access the BDE admin from a
networked Pc.

Please help !!!

On the server, go to help|About|System and make a note of the BDE location.
Is that location visible from the workstations? If so, go to a workstation
and into the registry and delete the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_Machine/Software/Borland
and try running GoldMine again.

If the BDE path listed under Help|About on the server is a LOCAL path on the
server, you will want to take more drastic steps.

There's a document on the subject here:
http://support.frontrange.com/support/goldmine/500_BDEandGoldMine.htm

or I could likely remote in and straighten it out in about 20 minutes, tops
(for a fee)

FYI, I'm the original author of the BDE document (back when I worked for
GoldMine support) ;)
